Investors are genuinely worried owing to lack of volume. Investors are also broke because of their loss making portfolios given one reason or the other. Investors usually make loss since their ‘typical’ brokers give them inaccurate advice and then cover their bad ‘deed’ with another dose of bad medicine. Thus investor loose heavily and blame either their untrained broker or falling market trend.

Sometimes investors also make mistake of not booking profits for some greed and thus once market comes down (let say in a technical correction mode) they rue their missed chance of not making money at the time when market was up.

Why investors themselves not trained to assess what portfolio they should manage or decision they should take to book gains instead of incurring losses?

We believe investors are ‘partly’ responsible for losses they have sustained during Mar’ 2005 ‘downward lock’ crisis, Apr’2006 ‘COT issues’ and Aug’ 2008 ‘market freeze’ since they were not aware how technical charts depicted heaviness due to ‘over bought’ nature when market peaked. Investors were not aware that that scripts were ‘over-valued’ based on high PE (scripts were trading above 3-year average PE). Investors simply had no idea about how to trade while seeing adverse economic indicators and political fallout.
